Tunequiz · Privacy Policy

Tunequiz keeps your data on your phone.

Tunequiz is a music quiz for one. This policy explains what the app stores, what it never collects, and how Apple Music previews and purchases work.

Last updated: October 22, 2026

What we collect

Nothing. Tunequiz has no accounts, no sign-in, no analytics and no advertising. We do not see who you are, what you play or how you score.

What stays on your phone

Your personal best per pack, your Today's 5 result and streak, and the songs you played recently are stored on the device so the app can avoid repeats. Deleting the app deletes them.

Apple Music

Song titles, artwork and 30-second previews come from the Apple Music catalogue through Apple's MusicKit. The app asks for permission to use Apple Music; no subscription is needed and the app never reads your library or listening history. Apple's handling of these requests is covered by Apple's privacy policy.

Purchases

Subscriptions and the lifetime purchase are handled entirely by Apple through the App Store. We never see your payment details. Restore purchases uses your Apple Account.

Sharing

The share card you create after a game is an image made on your phone. It goes only where you send it.

Children

Tunequiz does not knowingly collect data from anyone, children included.

Play with friends

When you host or join a room, the name you type, your answers and your points are sent to our game server (Convex, hosted in the US) so the others in the room can see the scoreboard. Rooms are deleted shortly after the game ends; nothing is kept and nothing is linked to you. Guests on the web get the same treatment.

iCloud

If you turn on iCloud sync in Settings, your personal bests, Today's 5 results and imported playlists are stored in your own iCloud account through Apple's key-value store, so your other devices see them. We never see this data. Turn it off in Settings or in iOS Settings.
